Senior Loan Support Services Officer

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Prepare, review, and process loan security documentation, including charges, liens, releases, insurance assignments, and related legal documents.
  • Coordinate loan closings and facilitate the disbursement of approved loans in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of loan securities, insurance documentation, payouts, releases, and related correspondence.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding security, insurance, and loan-related documentation to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide professional support and guidance to members regarding loan disbursements and related enquiries.
  • Ensure all activities comply with the Credit Union’s Credit Policy, regulatory requirements, and applicable legislation.
  • Prepare reports, statistics, and other documentation to support departmental operations and management decision-making.
  • Assist with departmental projects and provide support and coverage for Loan Support Services Officers as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

The post holder must possess:

  • A High school Diploma with 3 CXC/O’level passes Math, English & Accounts;
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in a related financial services, lending, or credit administration role.
  • Working knowledge of Credit Union’s products and services.
  • Experience preparing and managing loan security documentation and loan disbursement processes.
  • Understanding of commercial lending and mortgage terminology.
  • Thorough knowledge of Credit Risk Securities practices and financial institution operations.

  • Proficiency in financial systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.

The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
