Job Overview: The Senior HVAC & Plumbing Foreman works with the Project Manager to oversee the jobsite processes. The Foreman is responsible to ensure all materials and manpower are on site to build the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. All project success on site is directly related to the organization and leadership of the Foreman. The Foreman reports to the General Superintendent and Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicates between the Project Manager and GC to ensure compliance of construction with drawings and specifications
- Plan project schedule, manage subcontractors schedule, coordinate material and equipment delivery to site
- Responsible for day-to-day activities on site
- Verify completed work by subcontractor
- Manage Quality of workmanship on-site
- Manage tools and equipment provided for the project
- Attended weekly meetings with on site GC for project schedule
- Provides feedback for issues found during construction
- Creates material takes off and cut sheets for ordering
- Read plans and understand construction flow
- Understands application in the field and knowledge of construction
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2-5 years in mechanical and plumbing field w/ working in management
- Military experience preferred
- HVAC & Plumbing construction
- Multifamily/Commercial experience
- Demonstrates knowledge of construction
Working Environment:
- On-site position located in Newport News, VA
- Regular travel to job sites is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor as required.
- Work in various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold, confined spaces).
- Standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods.
- Use of PPE and adherence to safety regulations.
