Pharmacist

JOB DUTIES

1. Responsible for the delivery of excellent customer service.
2. Process new prescriptions and/or refills, updates the computerized record system and ensures the accuracy of medications dispensed for the distribution to patients.
3. Ensure the appropriate drug therapy for patients.
4. Respond to enquiries from healthcare staff and patients on medications and/or drug administration and make recommendations.
5. Participate in educational projects/studies/and promotions.
6. Maintain count of narcotic, controlled drugs, prescription and non -prescription drugs and pertinent records.
7. Maintain stock medication and pharmacy inventory and ensure shipment of medications and other items.
8. Review and order drugs and stock as assigned.
9. Update and maintain drug destruction and expiry files.
10. Train and supervise pharmacy assistants and pharmacy technicians as assigned.
11. Reviews insurance claims and rejections as assigned.

9. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
10. Proficient in using computers and pharmacy software (for example QS1 or Nexus or Koroll)

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar setting
2. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or higher 
3. Eligible/or licensed to practice Pharmacy in the Cayman Islands

 

WORK HOURS

40 hour work week. Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and flexible hours if required. 

 

COMPENSATION

CI$65K per annum, starting rate.
