Money Group is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to provide day-to-day operational support for Money Group’s billing and accounts receivable cycle. This role is responsible for executing routine accounting tasks, including preparing and issuing client invoices, maintaining partner portals, monitoring payment plans and collections, and generating recurring AR reports. The position also supports accounts payable through accurate transaction entry and recordkeeping.

Working within established procedures, defined workflows, and standard accounting practices, the Accounting Associate collaborates with Accounting, Finance, and Sales to gather billing information, address routine discrepancies, and ensure monthly deadlines are met. Non-routine issues and exceptions are escalated to the appropriate team members for guidance and resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue monthly client invoices in NetSuite and partner billing platforms, following established procedures, contract terms, and predefined billing schedules.
  • Perform routine updates and maintain accurate information in affiliate and partner portals, ensuring invoices and supporting documentation are submitted on time.
  • Conduct standard email-based collections follow-ups using established communication guidelines, monitor client payment plans, and escalate overdue payments or exceptions as needed.
  • Generate and maintain recurring AR reports, including aging reports, using established templates and reporting procedures. Identify and flag discrepancies or outstanding items for review.
  • Support accounts payable by accurately entering vendor bills and related transactions into NetSuite, following established processes and internal controls.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing routine supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation as directed.
  • Coordinate with Sales and other internal teams to verify billing information, clarify routine discrepancies, and ensure accurate processing.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records in accordance with established documentation standards and internal controls.
  • Identify recurring issues or opportunities for efficiency and communicate suggestions to the appropriate team members.
  • Complete assigned accounting tasks within established timelines, seeking guidance when handling unfamiliar situations or issues outside standard procedures.
  • Among other responsibilities related to the position.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting, or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with routine financial transactions and recordkeeping.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, work with standard templates, and consistently meet recurring monthly deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy when handling financial information.
  • Ability to identify routine discrepancies, follow established resolution steps, and escalate more complex issues when necessary.
  • Clear written communication skills for standard client follow-ups and coordination with internal teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, manage assigned tasks, and seek guidance when needed.
  • Professional discretion when handling confidential financial information.
