JOB PURPOSE

To lead and manage all aspects of the organization’s inbound warehouse operations, including but not limited to container unloading, put-away, inventory control/reconciliation, the efficient and organized use of storage space and maintenance of equipment and warehouse assets.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by planning, organizing, leading and directing the activities of warehouse personnel to meet the demands, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
  •  Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals. Accurate and timely reporting of operational and personnel records.
  •  Provide accuracy and quality checks on all incoming & outgoing products. Manage stock accuracy & movement.
  •  Maintain tidiness and cleanliness standards of the warehouse.
  •  Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed.
  •  Adhere to all Health and Safety standards and internal corporate policies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  •  Continuous Improvement: Meet regularly with warehouse management team to review, analyse and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention.
  •  Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers.
  •  Any other related and reasonable duties.



EDUCATION

High School Diploma



JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 3 years as a manager in a busy warehouse distribution environment (preferably food and/or beverage) including supervision of employees and their performance management.
  • Experience with advanced order fulfilment, wireless scanning and inventory management computer systems.
  • Beverage alcohol product knowledge preferred.


COMPUTER SKILLS

Strong computer skills and sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook). ERP system knowledge preferred.

  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee may be required to lift boxes of up to 60 lbs. A substantial part of the workday i.e. +75% requires standing and moving around the warehouse.
