Senior Finance Manager

Role Overview 

The Senior Finance Manager – Brazil will lead the finance function across SiGMA’s Brazilian operations, covering two legal entities operating in events and affiliate/media. 

The role will act as the key bridge between the Brazil finance team and Group Finance in Europe, ensuring strong local financial management, Brazilian tax compliance, accurate IFRS reporting and effective financial controls. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage the Brazil finance team across both legal entities. 

• Act as the main finance liaison between Brazil and Group Finance in Europe. 

• Own the monthly close, management accounts, balance sheet, cash flow and reporting process. 

• Ensure Brazilian accounting records are appropriately aligned and reconciled for IFRS and Group consolidation purposes. 

• Oversee Brazilian tax and statutory compliance, working closely with external accountants, auditors and tax advisers. 

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cash flow planning. 

• Provide financial oversight and profitability analysis for the events business, including event budgets, revenue, costs and margins. 

• Oversee financial reporting and revenue performance for the affiliate/media business. 

• Monitor working capital, collections, payments and funding requirements. 

• Maintain and improve financial controls, accounting processes and reporting procedures. 

• Ensure accurate accounting records and reconciliations within Xero. 

• Proactively identify financial, tax or operational risks and escalate material issues to Group Finance. 

Candidate Profile 

Essential 

• Strong finance/accounting experience in Brazil. 

• Strong understanding of Brazilian tax and statutory accounting requirements. 

• Good working knowledge of IFRS. 

• Experience working within an international or multinational group. 

• Experience managing a finance team and taking ownership of month-end reporting. 

• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills. 

• Fluent/professional Portuguese and English. 

• Strong Excel skills. 

Preferred 

• Experience with
  Xero. 

• Experience with events, affiliate/media, digital, technology or another fast-paced international business. 

• Experience reporting Brazilian entities into an international Group consolidation. 

• Experience with cross-border and intercompany transactions.
