Technician Assistant

Assists with the installation and maintenance of broadband Internet services, voice services, and security services under the direction of a technician.

Assists with the installation and maintenance of broadband Internet services, voice services, and security services under the direction of a technician.

Essential Job Functions

• Assists with the installation, removal, testing, trouble shooting, and maintaining of equipment, network wiring, and services under the direction of a technician
• Ability to learn procedures and protocols through company designated training within a set time frame, then utilize training in the field
• Assists with the installation of drop wires, fiber optics, and network interface devices. Assists with wiring of new systems using appropriate tools
• Maintains a safe work environment
• Possibly work in small, confined spaces
• Possibly work in elevated locations, following all safety protocols
• Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Performs all other related duties as assigned by technician or management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Valid state driver’s license and non-negligent driving record
• Meet 275lbs weight limit due to safety restrictions
• Ability to lift and move up to 80lbs
• Enjoy working with others and taking direction when needed
• Have a strong work ethic with reliability and dependability
• Maintain a friendly and customer service oriented approach to co-workers and customers
• Qualification on pre-employment screening
• Bi-lingual is highly desirable
