AI Developer

6-Month Fixed Term contract with potential for extension

Denver Technology is a technology consultancy based in Perth, with offices in Brisbane and London. For 35 years we have worked with energy, resources and asset-intensive organisations across Australia and overseas, running projects that hold up in production. We back people who do careful work and explain it well.

The role

We want an AI Developer to design, build, deploy and support enterprise AI solutions that lift productivity and help people use AI in their daily work. The role spans AI application and web development, integration, containerisation and DevOps. You will work with business and technology teams to find the AI use cases worth building, ship production-ready solutions, and set them up for other teams to support and scale.

What we offer

  • Competitive Salaries: Employees can expect competitive and benchmarked salaries, ensuring fair compensation for their skills and contributions.
  • Training and Certification Budgets: We invest in the professional growth of our people by allocating budgets for training and certification.
  • Employee Assistance Programme: An Employee Assistance Programme is in place to support the well-being and mental health of employees.
  • Active Social Club and Social Events: We foster a vibrant social culture with an active social club.
  • Regular Celebrations: We take pride in acknowledging and celebrating both our achievements and our people.

What you'll do

  • Design and build AI-enabled applications, interfaces and agentic workflows using LLMs and enterprise AI platforms.
  • Build responsive web applications in React or similar, with reusable front-end components, and integrate them with APIs, AI services and enterprise systems.
  • Package and deploy with Docker and OpenShift to CI/CD practice, then monitor, tune and resolve issues.
  • Turn business requirements into practical designs, prototypes and delivery plans, and assess feasibility, risk and the scope to scale.
  • Apply responsible AI practice: security, privacy, governance and human oversight.
  • Produce technical documentation and handover so support teams can run and scale each solution.
  • Run demonstrations and walkthroughs, and help teams adopt AI tools.

What you need

  • Experience building AI-enabled applications with LLMs, generative AI services or enterprise AI platforms.
  • Web development in React, JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Experience integrating applications with REST APIs, AI services and enterprise systems.
  • Containerisation with Docker and OpenShift or Kubernetes, plus DevOps, source control, automated testing and CI/CD.
  • A track record taking prototypes through to secure, maintainable production.
  • A tertiary qualification in computer science, software engineering, IT or AI, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Open WebUI or similar enterprise AI interface platforms.
  • Agentic AI platforms, orchestration frameworks or tool-enabled AI workflows.
  • Retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector databases and enterprise search.
  • AI governance, model evaluation, privacy, cyber security and responsible AI controls.
  • Enterprise technology adoption experience, in a corporate, resources, mining or operational environment.
