Milton Cardiac Imaging (MCI) is an Accreditation Canada accredited nuclear cardiology diagnostic facility committed to providing high-quality, safe and patient-focused care.
Milton Cardiac Imaging is seeking an experienced Medical Office Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our nuclear medicine and cardiac diagnostic facility.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with several years of medical office experience who is comfortable independently managing front-desk and administrative workflows.
Previous hands-on experience with Accuro EMR is required.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process physician referrals and requisitions.
- Schedule nuclear medicine and cardiac diagnostic appointments.
- Provide patients with test preparation instructions.
- Manage cancellations, rescheduling and appointment confirmations.
- Register patients and verify demographics and OHIP eligibility.
- Answer calls and communicate with patients, physicians and referring offices.
- Maintain accurate patient records in Accuro.
- Scan, upload and manage clinical documentation.
- Track and distribute completed reports.
- Follow up on incomplete referrals, missing information and outstanding administrative items.
- Assist with OHIP billing, rejected claims and billing follow-up where required.
- Coordinate daily administrative workflow with physicians, nuclear medicine technologists and cardiovascular technologists.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Secretarial Secretarial/Office Administration program is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of medical office administrative experience.
- Hands-on Accuro EMR experience required.
- Experience with referrals, scheduling and medical records.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent organization, communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Experience in nuclear medicine, diagnostic imaging, cardiology, specialist practice or OHIP billing is considered an asset.
Compensation & Benefits
- $26.00–$30.00/hour based on experience.
