The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for Sales Executive to join our Malaysia Ethical team on a full time basis.

 

Reporting to the Sales Manager – Ethical, the Sales Executive is responsible for accelerating territory sales growth, expanding market share, and strengthening iNova’s presence across key healthcare professional and account segments. This role requires a commercially driven sales professional who can identify opportunities, convert prospects, grow existing accounts, and execute high-impact sales and marketing initiatives across the iNova Pharmaceutical and OTC product portfolio. The position plays a critical role in delivering Malaysia’s sales objectives through disciplined territory planning, strong customer engagement, effective budget management, and data-led execution that drives revenue, profitability, and long-term customer loyalty.

 

 Key accountabilities and performance indicators include:

  • Deliver and exceed assigned sales targets, gross profit contribution, market share growth, and account objectives within allocated territories and customer segments.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities with target healthcare professionals, clinics, hospitals, and key accounts.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and account expansion through structured territory planning, persuasive selling, and consistent follow-up.
  • Develop strategic account plans that maximize revenue potential, optimize call coverage, improve product uptake, and deliver measurable return on investment.
  • Execute monthly sales plans with clear priorities, call objectives, sales phasing, promotional activities, budget tracking, and performance milestones.
  • Analyze territory performance, customer behaviors, competitor activity, and market trends to identify growth gaps and take timely corrective action.
  • Build influential, trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers to increase brand recommendation, prescribing support, and account loyalty.
  • Deliver compelling product detailing, in-service education, and sales presentations that clearly communicate clinical value, product differentiation, and customer benefits.
  • Collaborate with cross function teams to execute campaigns, support product launches, and convert brand strategies into territory-level results.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales reports, call activity, forecast updates, business reviews, and market intelligence to support effective decision-making.
  • Continuously sharpen product knowledge, selling capability, negotiation skills, and competitive awareness to strengthen iNova’s advantage in the marketplace.
  • Manage samples, promotional resources, and sales expenses effectively within approved forecasts, budgets, and company guidelines.
  • Promptly report all adverse events and product complaints related to iNova products to GSV-AP and the local complaint administrator.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly business reviews with clear performance analysis, opportunity mapping, recommendations, and action plans to accelerate sales growth.

 

 About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a recognized university degree and/or Masters/MBA and the following:

  • Minimum 3 years of proven sales, account management, customer relationship management, or relevant pharmaceutical commercial experience.
  • Experience in the Ethical sector, with the ability to translate product and therapeutic knowledge into effective customer conversations and sales outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen, numerical ability, and understanding of sales drivers, revenue growth, profitability, and return on investment.
  • Proven ability to develop territory and account strategies, execute sales plans, monitor performance, and close business opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success in building high-value customer relationships, influencing key decision-makers, and strengthening customer loyalty.
  • Confident, assertive, disciplined, proactive, and resilient in pursuing targets, handling objections, and maintaining sales momentum.
  • Strong customer-first mindset, with the ability to identify customer needs and position solutions that support both customer priorities and business growth.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain high execution standards in a target-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare persuasive sales presentations, business reviews, and Microsoft presentations.
