The Role

We're seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Worldwide Customer Office. This role sits within the Product FP&A umbrella of our Finance Strategy team, alongside peers who support other GMs and product lines. You will report to an FP&A Manager and present directly to the Chief Customer Officer. You will serve as finance partner across the CCO's five functions: Support and Professional Services, Renewals, Customer Success Management, Managed Services, and Strategy and Customer Office Operations. You will work closely and regularly with the VP of Strategy and CO Operations and meet monthly with each of the other functional VPs on expense, headcount, and forecast performance.

The role's defining feature is exposure: you'll work directly with the Customer Office leadership team every month, building the financial models they use to make decisions and presenting your analysis to them. For an analyst who wants senior-leadership visibility and ownership of the numbers, it offers experience that is hard to get at this level.

Location: This is a hybrid role in our Sunnyvale, CA office Monday through Thursday.

Your day to day

  • Serve as finance partner to the CCO and his VPs across all five Customer Office functions, working closely with the VP of Strategy and CO Operations on planning cadence and cross-functional priorities and holding monthly reviews with each of the other VPs.
  • Support the long-range plan, annual budget, and quarterly forecast processes, gathering input from each function, analyzing trends, and presenting projections.
  • Lead development and maintenance of forecasts, budgets, and multi-year models for each function. For Managed Services, this includes detailed revenue, gross margin, and contribution margin reporting and forecasting for the ARR offering.
  • Own multi-year headcount planning and fully burdened cost modeling, including allocation of headcount cost by product in Adaptive Planning.
  • Model headcount cost for commissioned roles in Renewals, TAM, and CSM, applying OTE, pay mix, and attainment assumptions in coordination with GTM Sales Finance, who own commission forecasting.
  • Analyze utilization, capacity, and demand (Support, PS) and coverage and efficiency (CSM ARR per CSM, Renewals capacity) to identify trends and risks and recommend actions to management.
  • Prepare concise monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and presentations for the CCO and senior management, highlighting performance against targets and key metrics, including Cash EBITDA.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis of expenses and headcount.
  • Use AI tools to automate recurring analysis and reporting, turn large data sets into faster insights, and apply sound judgment to validate the output.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects in support of strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.

What you bring to the team

  • Experience as a finance partner to Customer Success, Support, Professional Services, and Renewals leaders, including presenting to executives.
  • FP&A experience modeling headcount and expenses, with strong SaaS metrics fluency (ARR, churn, NRR/GRR).
  • Experience analyzing gross and contribution margin for a services or subscription offering, including cost allocation methodology.
  • Experience with a financial planning tool, ERP, and CRM. Adaptive Planning strongly preferred; Salesforce a plus.
  • Working knowledge of variable compensation metrics (OTE, quota, pay mix) for headcount cost modeling.
  • Sound accounting foundation (revenue recognition, capitalization policy, expense timing). ASC 606 and ASC 340-40 familiarity is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
  • Early adopter of AI tools to improve efficiency, with the judgment to verify outputs.
  • Ability to build and maintain complex financial models, and to question their outputs and consider improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize, and work within deadlines.
  • Team player approach with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • BA/BS in finance or accounting with 5+ years of financial analysis experience.
