We are seeking a structured, proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven organization with a clear ambition: One Healthy Ocean.

Our Finance team plays an important role in enabling the organization to deliver on its mission through reliable financial processes, strong internal controls and high-quality support to colleagues across the organization.
The role
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and efficient accounting processes. You will work closely with the Controller, Finance Manager and colleagues across REV Ocean, supporting day-to-day accounting, payments, reconciliations and reporting activities.
The role requires a person who enjoys structure, takes ownership of tasks and is comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities may change as the organization moves closer to operational readiness.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities.
- Account receivables; raise invoices as required and ensure they are issued accurately and on time.
- Account Payable; process all supplier invoices accurately and in a timely way.
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and documentation. Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and tax requirements.
- Process employee expense claims in accordance with internal routines.
- Support Controller in the preparation and processing of payroll.
- Collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement of accounting processes and workflows.
- Provide support to colleagues and ensure professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and experience
- Relevant education in accounting, finance or business administration, or relevant practical experience from accounting work
- Good understanding of Norwegian accounting rules, VAT and general statutory requirements is considered an advantage
- Proficiency in Excel is essential
- Good system understanding; we mainly use Visma systems
- Fluency in Norwegian and English is required

Reporting line
The Accountant will be part of the Finance team and report to the Finance Manager.
Workplace
The position is based at REV Ocean’s office at Fornebu/Lysaker, with flexibility in line with company policy.
