Embedded Software Engineer – New Product Launch (6-12-month Contract)
Embedded Software Engineer – New Product Launch (6-12-month Contract) — Build the brains inside real instruments
KPM Analytics | Westborough, MA (Onsite position - Must be able to commute to the site)
Ever wanted to write firmware that actually ships? Not a toy project, not a simulation, real code running inside a real instrument, headed to real customers.
KPM Analytics is bringing a new instrumentation product to market, and we need an embedded engineer who's hungry to get hands-on with it. Think microcontrollers, sensors, real-time systems, and a Windows app that ties it all together.
You'll get your hands on:
- NXP microcontroller firmware, fixing, building, improving
- RTOS environments (if "real-time" makes your eyes light up, keep reading)
- Camera + time-of-flight sensor integration
- Communications protocols, UART, SPI, I²C, USB, CAN, Modbus, take your pick
- C# work inside our SensorVu Windows 11 application
- Actual product launch activities, you'll see this thing go out the door
This is for you if:
- You're studying CS, EE, Robotics, Data Science, or something adjacent
- You've messed around with NXP chips, RTOS, or sensor interfacing (bonus points for Python/MicroPython or C#)
- You'd rather debug a weird hardware issue than avoid it
- You can drop into someone else's codebase and figure it out fast
- You want ownership, not busywork
The deal: 6–12-month contract, full-time hands-on work alongside engineers who've done this before. Great fit if you want real product experience before you graduate, or if you're between things and want to build something that matters.
If this sounds like your kind of problem to solve, we want to hear from you.
