We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join Experts at Hand, an innovative service within Words First focused on bringing specialist expertise directly into schools.

This role goes beyond traditional caseload management, focusing on empowering school staff, strengthening SEND provision and developing practical approaches that support more children and young people.

What you'll be doing

• Working alongside schools to identify communication needs and strengthen universal and targeted provision.
• Coaching and training teachers, SENCOs and support staff to build their confidence and skills.
• Developing practical resources, screening tools and classroom strategies.
• Reviewing existing provision and supporting schools to make sustainable improvements.
• Providing specialist advice and collaborative problem-solving to help schools meet children's needs.

What we're looking for

• A qualified, HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist.
• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND in educational settings.
• Confidence in training, coaching and collaborating with school staff.
• Creativity, strong clinical reasoning and an evidence-informed, neurodiversity-affirming approach.
• Enthusiasm for whole-school approaches, innovation and service development.
