We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accountant to join our Finance team in Ellerslie. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, high-volume environment where they can make a genuine impact on business performance and cash flow management.


About the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations and supporting the ongoing growth of the business. You'll work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial processing, effective working capital management, and timely reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day financial transaction processing
  • Monitor and manage working capital, cash flow, and forecasting activities
  • Support accounts receivable and payable functions
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations including bank, debtor, creditor, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Maintain journals, balance sheet accounts, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, and board reporting
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and procedures


About You


You are a proactive and analytical finance professional who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively, and delivering high-quality outcomes.


You will ideally have:

  • Experience in a busy finance or accounting environment with high transaction volumes
  • Strong accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliation experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • The ability to prioritise competing deadlines and manage workload independently
  • A customer-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
  • CA qualification (or working towards one) will be highly regarded
