Director of Marketing
The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the company’s overall marketing strategy to drive revenue growth, strengthen brand awareness, and support the organization’s long-term business objectives. This position provides strategic leadership for all marketing functions, including brand and creative, digital commerce, website and SEO, content and email marketing, marketing operations and automation, lead generation, and the CRM marketing workflow/technology.
The Director serves as both a strategic leader and cross-functional business partner, aligning marketing initiatives with sales, business development, customer experience, and executive leadership across the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the organization's integrated marketing strategy that supports revenue growth, customer acquisition, brand awareness, and long-term business objectives.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for the marketing team while establishing clear priorities, performance expectations, accountability, and career development opportunities.
- Oversee all marketing functions including branding, creative services, website management, SEO, e-commerce, content marketing, email marketing, digital campaigns, analytics, marketing technology, workflow automation, and lead generation.
- Partner closely with Sales, Business Development, Operations, and Executive Leadership to align marketing initiatives with organizational priorities and revenue goals.
- Lead marketing operations by optimizing CRM data quality, customer segmentation, lead lifecycle management, reporting, workflow automation, AI-enabled marketing processes, and GTM technologies including Clay.
- Develop and monitor departmental KPIs, dashboards, budgets, ROI, campaign effectiveness, website performance, conversion metrics, and overall marketing performance.
- Establish scalable marketing processes, project prioritization, resource planning, and vendor management to improve operational efficiency and team productivity.
- Evaluate emerging marketing technologies, automation platforms, AI tools, and industry trends to continuously improve organizational capabilities and competitive advantage.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability while ensuring consistent brand standards across all customer touchpoints.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of modern B2B marketing strategy, demand generation, digital marketing, branding, and customer acquisition
- Experience leading cross-functional marketing teams across creative, digital, and marketing operations disciplines.
- Knowledge of SEO, website optimization, e-commerce, email marketing, CRM platforms, marketing automation, analytics, and AI-enabled marketing technologies.
- Experience with lead generation strategies, customer data management, workflow automation, and marketing technology platforms.
- Ability to translate business objectives into measurable marketing initiatives and performance metrics.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Seven to ten years of progressive marketing leadership experience with increasing strategic responsibility.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary marketing teams in a B2B environment.
- Demonstrated success driving measurable business growth through integrated marketing strategies, digital marketing, and marketing technology.
