About AstraZeneca
AstraZeneca is a global, science-led, patient-focused biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the discovery, development and commercialization of prescription medicines for some of the world’s most serious diseases. But we’re more than one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.
Introduction to role:
Are you ready to turn operational perfection into faster, compliant scientific publications that inform clinical decision-making? As an i Envision Specialist, you will orchestrate the end-to-end publication lifecycle, connecting Global Scientific Communications and cross-functional partners to deliver timely, high-quality outputs for the BioPharmaceuticals Business Unit.
Based in Manyata Tech Park, Bengaluru, you will be part of a Centre of Excellence that uses iEnvision to make sophisticated work simple, transparent, and compliant. Your ability to anticipate risks, structure plans, and elevate data quality will help our teams communicate evidence with transparency and speed—so insights reach healthcare professionals and patients when they matter most.
Do you see patterns in processes others miss, and enjoy shaping systems so teams can move faster with confidence? This role puts you at the heart of how we plan, govern, and deliver publications across a global, multicultural environment in a hybrid model with three days on site each week.
Accountabilities:
Publication Lifecycle Management: Coordinate the planning, tracking and delivery of assigned publication activities across all phases to accelerate high-quality outputs and improve predictability.
Collaborator Communication: Support publication writers and delivery leads in communicating with internal and external collaborators so decisions and achievements progress on time.
Scheduling and Risk Management: Maintain accurate schedules, milestones, dependencies and status updates; escalate potential delays where appropriate; identify, track and support the mitigation of project issues and risks early.
Compliance and Standards: Help ensure that publication work follow AstraZeneca procedures, quality standards, ethical requirements and relevant external publication guidelines, protecting trust and enabling approvals.
iEnvision Leadership: Promote consistent and effective use of iEnvision as the end-to-end solution for publication oversight; maintain high-quality, complete and accurate records and metadata.
Access and Protection Management: Lead all aspects of user access and security, including crafting and disabling user accounts and handling access-related requests to protect data.
Release Readiness and UAT: Support validation by end users and business readiness for system upgrades, releases, implementations and system improvements to minimize disruption and unlock new capabilities.
Training and User Support: Coordinate and maintain system training records and materials; support users with process and system queries to build confident adoption.
Data Quality and Ongoing Improvement: Conduct routine data-quality reviews and clean database regularly. Find ways to improve publication operations and system use. Encourage adoption of effective methods.
Global Collaboration: Collaborate across global, matrixed and multicultural teams to support consistent ways of working and continuous improvement, expanding impact from individual projects to enterprise-wide performance.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline.
- Three to five years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a medical communications agency, preferably within a publications function.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using and supporting iEnvision or a comparable publication management system.
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working effectively in a global, matrixed and multicultural pharmaceutical or medical communications environment.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and a commitment to data quality, compliance and operational excellence.
- Agility, adaptability and a proactive learning mindset.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience administering iEnvision user access, security, training records and data-quality activities.
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing, system releases, implementations or enhancements.
- Knowledge of recognised ethical publication practices and relevant industry guidelines.
