  • Use research, data and sound design judgement to balance user needs, business goals and technical constraints, shaping solutions that are intuitive, eJective and commercially relevant.
  • Create clear interaction models, page layouts and interface designs using components from a central design system, with strong attention to hierarchy, content, usability and visual craft.
  • Bring ideas to life through rapid prototyping and iteration, using tools such as Figma and AI-native design tools like Google Stitch to explore, test and refine concepts at pace.
  • Design inclusive, accessible experiences that work for customers with a wide range of needs, backgrounds and levels of digital confidence.
  • Collaborate confidently in agile, cross-functional teams to uncover priorities, visualise outcomes, define scope and support high-quality delivery.
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, well-documented and translated into robust, high-quality experiences in market.
  • Help evolve and strengthen our design system, patterns and ways of working so we can scale quality and consistency across products.
  • Use storytelling and strong communication to present design thinking clearly, align stakeholders and build confidence in the decisions we make.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Strong experience designing end-to-end digital products, with a portfolio that shows clear ownership from discovery and interaction design through to polished, high-fidelity UI.
  • Deep expertise in UX and UI craft, including user flows, information architecture, prototyping, layout, hierarchy, interaction patterns and visual design for responsive digital experiences.
  • Confidence using research, data and testing to shape design decisions, interpret insight and iterate towards better outcomes for customers and the business.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools, with experience using AI-enabled design workflows to accelerate exploration, iteration and communication of ideas.
  • Strong experience working with design systems and creating interfaces that are scalable, accessible and consistent across complex product ecosystems.
  • A strong understanding of inclusive and accessible design, with a commitment to creating experiences that work for people with diverse needs, backgrounds and levels of digital confidence.
  • The ability to thrive in agile, multi-disciplinary teams, partnering closely with product managers, researchers, content designers, service designers and engineers.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the confidence to explain design rationale, influence stakeholders and bring others with you.
  • Experience working in complex organisations or regulated environments; experience in financial services essential.
  • Curiosity, energy and a growth mindset, with a genuine interest in emerging tools, new ways of working and the future of AI-native product design.
