Job Summary: T&I Sprinkler Fitters are responsible for having positive communication with customers, coworkers and the public on a daily basis. Responsibilities include performing Testing and Inspection of various Life

Safety, Suppression, Security and other systems. This role will be required to understand codes applicable and document deficiencies within the Building Reports platform. Attention to detail is paramount and documenting the necessary details to ensure repairs are quoted/repaired accurately is a critical part of the inspection duties.


Responsibilities: Please note the essential functions may vary depending on technical knowledge, certification requirements and willingness to excel.

• Perform service and repairs on various Fire Sprinkler Systems including Wet Pipe, Dry, Fire Pump and Pre-Action.

• Perform routine inspections, testing and preventative maintenance.

• Able to rebuild a riser.

• Add sprinkler drops.

• Able to identify the correct type and size of piping and related materials for installation.

• Inspects various systems including Fire Alarm systems, Fire Sprinkler Systems, Fire Extinguishers and various systems for Code Compliance and conditions that would prevent operation.

• Work in compliance with the company’s safety policies at all times.

• All documentation, field updates and communication must be punctual & complete

• All work is performed to National Codes & standards and quality testing techniques are practiced.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years experience servicing and installing fire sprinkler systems.
  • NICET 1 or CSA preferred.
  • Knowledge of NFPA, IBC, IFC, IMC, Life Safety 101 Codes.
  • Knowledge of steel systems (commercial work).
  • Knowledge and ability to use and operate required test equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Must be able to obtain a DPS fingerprint clearance card.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include but not limited to moving equipment and carrying tools weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding

         and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

  • Excellent communication skills, using precise and respectful terms when dealing with customers and team members.
  • Ability to understand, execute, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.


Work Locations: Multiple Locations


Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour


Expected Hours: No less than 40 per week


Schedule: 

  •  10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
