Role summary:

We are looking for a Tech Team Leader for our Client Journey & Solutioning engineering team to bridge the gap between complex business product lines and highly scalable technology. In this role, you will manage and guide a high-performing engineering team focused on crafting seamless, friction-free client onboarding and transaction workflows for trade finance products, including invoice financing, factoring, and supply chain finance. You will closely collaborate with Business teams and the SDET Architect to champion agile methodologies, and pioneer the adoption of AI-native engineering workflows, ensuring that all code—whether human-written or AI-generated—adheres to strict structural guardrails and automated testing standards throughout the software delivery lifecycle

 

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Product Collaboration: Partner closely with Business Product teams to translate complex invoice financing, factoring, and supply chain finance requirements into intuitive, reliable client journeys and technical solutions.
• End-to-End Delivery Management: Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for both existing client-facing and product applications, balancing the ongoing enhancement and stablity of existing production platform with the delivery of new greenfield capabilities. Take absolute ownership of frontend experiences, backend scalability, automated testing, and production stability.
• AI-Native Engineering Leadership: Design, establish and scale AI-native engineering workflows, leveraging AI coding assistants, automated testing, and structured development guardrails to accelerate delivery velocity while enforcing rigorous engineering discipline.
• Guardrails & Code Integration: Establish and oversee robust code merge gates; ensure that whether code is generated by AI and reviewed by a developer, or written directly by a developer, it strictly passes the automated test suite, security linting, and compliance checks before being merged into the main codebase.
• Technical Mentorship & Culture: Guide, mentor, and pair-program with engineers to uplift full-stack technical capabilities, foster an agile DevOps culture, and continuously optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Take absolute responsibility for resolving systemic technical debts, operational bottlenecks, or misalignments between business requirements and technical execution.

 

Role specific technical competencies:

• Product & Solution Architecture: Ability to translate complex business processes into scalable technical architectures, customer journeys, APIs, and platform capabilities.
• Full-Stack Leadership Capability: Proven experience building clean, responsive client-facing user interfaces as well as secure, high-throughput, and scalable backend architectures.
• Core Tech Stack: Deep proficiency in building full-stack applications using Java or NodeJS / JavaScript / TypeScript (preferably strong across both ecosystems).
• Trade Finance Domain Expertise: Hands-on domain knowledge and engineering experience within specific supply chain finance frameworks, notably Invoice Financing, Factoring, and Supply Chain Finance workflows.
• Client Journey Solutioning: Demonstrated ability to map out complex financial workflows into highly performant, intuitive, and secure client solutions and API integrations.
• AI-Native Engineering Proficiency: Strong familiarity with leveraging AI coding platforms or enterprise AI assistants effectively to boost team velocity without compromising on architectural integrity, code security, or regulatory compliance.
• Core Software Engineering: Strong systems design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and advanced test automation practices.

 

Qualifications (training, licenses, memberships and certifications): 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar quantitative/engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience in a senior or lead engineering capacity, with a proven track record of managing technical teams specifically within Fintech, transactional banking, or Trade Finance platforms.
• 3-5+ years leading engineering teams
