Job Title:                     Intermediate QA Engineer

Reports to:                  Head of DVT Supplementary Resourcing


We are seeking an Intermediate QA Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. As an integral member of the QA team, you will contribute to test planning, execution, bug tracking, and regression testing efforts. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and fellow QA engineers to understand system requirements and verify that new and existing features function correctly and meet customer expectations.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a solid foundation in QA practices who is ready to take on more responsibility, expand their skills in automation, and grow in a collaborative, agile environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Collaborate with the QA team to develop and execute functional test plans and test cases.

·        Identify, document, and track software defects using standard issue tracking tools.

·        Conduct regression testing to verify issue resolution and ensure stability across releases.

·        Participate in reviews of requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to provide feedback from a quality perspective.

·        Assist in estimating, prioritizing, and coordinating testing tasks for sprint and release planning.

·        Contribute to the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts (with guidance from senior team members).

·        Work closely with cross-functional teams to clarify expected system behavior and verify real-world use cases.

·        Help monitor testing metrics, such as bug counts and test coverage.

·        Stay informed about industry best practices and testing trends.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

·        Matric, A or O levels

·        2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance or related roles

·        Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes

·        Experience creating clear, structured test plans and test cases

·        Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JUnit) and willingness to grow automation skills.

·        Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting for test validation.

·        Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
