Overview:



As we take our business into the future, we are focused on sharing our proud story.  Building sustainable relationships based on trust and the spirit of adventure with customers and team members alike is key to creating a lasting impression for all who join us on this adventure.  The ideal Material Handler will be experienced forklift operators with material handling experience, having worked in a manufacturing production environment.  Must be able to work as part of a team, as well as independently, in a fast-paced, physically demanding, repetitive work environment.  This will include heavy lifting.  Attention to detail and safety is a top priority!



Primary Responsibilities (but not limited to):



  • Safely load and unload trucks and verify items received, inspect for damaged freight.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading oversize materials and finished product.
  • Maintain inventory utilizing item and bin level location accuracy.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure inventory systems are accurate.
  • Assist Warehouse Manager with investigating inventory discrepancies.
  • Perform accurate cycle counts at the direction of management.
  • Maintain a neat and clean workplace.
  • Exercise safety at all times.
  • Pull, Stage, and deliver parts to the production line in a timely manner to meet on time in full fulfillment requirements.
  • Work with various computer systems to accomplish the day-to-day requirements of material control.

 

Skills and Experience:



  • 1-2 years of training or relevant experience in manufacturing warehouse environment, order pulling/picking, equipment maintenance, quality control and safety processes.
  • Highly skilled forklift operations (large materials preferably).
  • Prior shipping and receiving experience.
  • Inventory experience: Cycle Count / Year End Inventory.
  • Prior data entry experience.
  • Prior experience with ERP or WMS systems a plus.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all company protocols, regulations, and procedures.
  • Willing and able to work 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and mandatory overtime as needed.
  • Must have demonstrated effective communication and teamwork ability with follow-through on assignments.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift, move, maneuver up to 50+ lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work on your feet all day in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, bend, twist, and crouch.
  • Willing to work indoor and outdoor and in all-weather elements.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
