Description
Central Valley is a leading family-owned and operated building supply company with eight locations throughout Northern California. Central Valley has been voted among the Best Places to work in the North Bay by the North Bay Business Journal. We are currently seeking a Mill Sawyer for our Woodland facility.
The Mill Sawyer produces cut packs or re-saw material according to specifications. Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Measures, cuts and packages material according to work orders.
- Operates all saws in a safe and efficient manner
- Operates forklift and other equipment safely.
- Keeps all work areas clean, neat, safe, and secure.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience operating industrial saws required
- Forklift experience desired
- Construction or relevant trade experience a plus
- Lumber industry experience a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Walking: Up to 3 hours per day
- Standing: 6-8+ hours per day
- Bending/Twisting: 3-6 hours per day
- Squatting/Stooping: 3-6 hours per day
- Climbing: Up to 3 hours per day
- Kneeling Crawling: Up to 3 hours per day
- Pushing/Pulling: 6-8+hours per day
- Hand Dexterity: 6-8+hours per day
- Lifting 0-25 lbs.: 6-8+hours per day
- Lifting 26-60 lbs.: Up to 3 hours per day
- Carrying 0-25 lbs.: 6-8+ hours per day
- Carrying 26-60 lbs.: Up to 3 hours per day
