ABOUT THE ROLE:
Thank you for your interest in judging for the Crowd Pleasers Dance brands! We're always excited to connect with dance professionals from diverse and relevant backgrounds to serve on our event panels.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Position Summary
- Season Term: 2027 Tour Dates & Locations
- Fridays: Typically 4–5 PM, when scheduled (confirmed ~4 weeks out at registration close)
- Saturdays: Typically 8 AM–9 PM, with short breaks every 2–3 hours
- Availability: Full-event availability may be essential for panel consistency
- Travel: All travel expenses included; willingness to travel out of region is very encouraged when needed
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
- Conflicts are collected to protect dancer and choreography anonymity and preserve an impartial competitive environment
- We make every effort to staff a conflict-free panel by removing judges with conflicts — from the performance area entirely, or at minimum from the affected category
- If a conflict is unavoidable, your position on the panel may not be guaranteed
- Panel placement is prioritized first by conflict-free status, then by region
Examples of Conflicts Include:
- Choreographing any 2027 contest routine
- Serving as a former director or coach of a team within the last four years
- Serving as a current director, coach, or administrator for a school or district
- Actively instructing a large percentage of a team's dancers
- Providing consistent mentoring (three or more times per semester)
- Being related to any dancer, director, or coach on a team
- Having a personal relationship that may create actual or perceived bias
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply your professional dance background and completed CPD Brand calibration training to fairly and accurately evaluate routines against the per-caption CPD scoring structure
- Provide verbal feedback that is motivating, relevant, and constructive to support dancer growth
- Represent the CP brand professionally, both on-site and in any public-facing communications related to the event
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience or professional background in dance education, instruction, choreography, performance, or competition judging
- Diverse or well-rounded knowledge of various dance genres, and/or disclosed genre-specific specialty
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and constructive feedback
- Strong sense of professionalism, objectivity, and integrity under competitive pressure
- Reliable availability for the full duration of assigned events, including travel out of region when needed
- Free of conflicts of interest as outlined above, or willing to disclose them prior to placement
- Completion of Self-Paced CPD Brand Adjudicator Training

- CP Dance Regional, State, and National Showcase Competitions
- CPD Spirit Regional and National Competitions
