Sensorfact has always sold directly to manufacturers, and our own sales team will keep doing so. Alongside that channel, ABB distribution partners now offer Sensorfact to their customers: the distributor sells, and you ensure their success. You start by supporting partners in France and Italy, then help expand the channel across Europe, and support overseas markets when needed. As the distributors' primary point of contact at Sensorfact, you support them commercially and operationally, from first training to every customer's ongoing satisfaction.
You'll be part of Sensorfact’s Enterprise team in Amsterdam, reporting to Sensorfact's Enterprise Director, and work closely with the ABB Integration team and ABB's country sales teams. The role is largely operational, with strategic elements. In the first months you'll be very hands-on, guiding each partner personally through their first customer projects. Expect a busy start; as the partners gain experience, the role shifts from doing to steering.
Travel is a core part of this role. You'll spend 25–40% of your time with distributors and their customers, with peaks of up to 50% while onboarding new partners and their first projects: training sales teams, joining first customer meetings and helping on site when an installation needs it. The rest of the time you work from our Amsterdam office.
What success looks like after 12 months: our first distribution partners in France and Italy are fully onboarded, their sales teams are trained and selling independently, their first customers are live, and each partner is on track or exceeding the targets in its business plan.
Account management
Be the distributors' primary point of contact and escalation point at Sensorfact
Visit distributor teams in France and Italy regularly, hold check-ins and quarterly business reviews, track partner performance and spot and resolve tension early
Set up partner governance: clear roles, rules of engagement and regular reviews between the distributors, Sensorfact's direct sales team and ABB's country teams
Sales and commercial growth
Build a joint business plan with each distributor, and track their pipeline, revenue and KPIs against it
Organise sales training for the distributors' reps, covering commercials and technical topics, so they understand the hardware, software and services we provide
Support reps with commercial questions, for example during quoting and ordering, to help the distributors meet their sales targets
Delivery support
Coordinate the distributor, the customer and Sensorfact's Onboarding, Consulting, Fulfilment and Customer Success teams from contract to go-live and beyond
Make sure the distributors get the technical and operational support they need, and that any problems in the standard delivery process are resolved quickly
Build and maintain partner self-service tools and scalable processes, so partners need less hands-on support as they grow
Market insights
Collect feedback from the distributors and their customers and share it with the right teams at Sensorfact and ABB, so our product, processes and proposition keep improving for the channel
Spot risks and opportunities in your markets and help shape the phased expansion to new countries

Experience working with distributors, resellers or other indirect partners
