Reports to: Director of Operations at LABEL

Compensation: $18/hour | Part-Time, 20–25 hours per week

The Operations Associate supports LABEL’s day-to-day operations, with a primary focus on garment inventory, shipping, fulfillment, and general operational support. This hands-on role ensures garments are accurately tracked, quality-checked, and moved efficiently between clients, clothiers, the showroom, and tailoring teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing garment logistics in a fast-paced, high-touch custom clothing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, organize, and process inbound and outbound garments, including steaming, labeling, storage, and quality control.
  • Manage garment shipments, including shipping labels, courier tracking, and resolving shipping issues.
  • Maintain accurate garment records in the CRM, conduct regular inventory audits, and monitor aging garments across the showroom and remote offices.
  • Manage weekly fabric “outs” by reviewing vendor updates and removing or identifying unavailable swatches.
  • Coordinate completed garment check-ins from alteration partner; including pickups, and deliveries, ensuring clear communication and timely handoffs between teams.

Additional Support (As Needed)

  • Coordinate with clothiers, tailoring teams, and ALTS on alterations, including tracking timelines, identifying rush orders, and communicating garment status.
  • Maintain an organized, polished, and client-ready showroom.
  • Assist with client check-ins, garment pickups, payments, and incoming calls.
  • Support general operational needs, including supplies, facility coordination, and vendor communication.

Qualifications

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working across teams.
  • Dependable, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Comfortable using technology and CRM systems.
  • Previous experience in retail, apparel, operations, or customer service preferred.
  • Able to physically handle, organize, and prepare garments throughout the workday.

What Success Looks Like

  • Accuracy: Garments and inventory are consistently tracked, quality-checked, and accurately recorded in the CRM.
  • Timeliness: Incoming and outgoing garments are processed efficiently, with shipments and handoffs completed on schedule.
  • Communication: Clothiers and internal teams have clear, proactive updates on garment status, delays, and outstanding needs.
  • Organization: Inventory and showroom areas remain organized, with aging garments and operational issues addressed promptly.
  • Team Support: Daily priorities are handled independently, with flexibility to assist other teams when needed.
