Position Overview

Oversee the rig-in/rig-out of chemical additive units, ensuring safety and compliance with SOPs. Responsible for troubleshooting issues, maintaining proper chemical valving, and managing the chemical zone to ensure the safety of all personnel.



 

Key Responsibilities

·         Unit Operations: Direct the safe rig-in/rig-out of chemical additive units, ensuring compliance with SOPs and proper hose rigging

·         Chemical Zone Management: Oversee the chemical zone, ensuring all personnel use appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols

·         Valving & Contamination Prevention: Prevent chemical contamination by meticulously checking valving and lines before transferring chemicals and ensuring pumps are not rolled against a closed system

·         Troubleshooting: Address and resolve issues promptly to maintain job quality

·         Preventative Maintenance: Ensure all preventative maintenance requirements are met



 

Requirements

·         Licenses: Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements

·         Driving Record: Satisfactory driving record

·         Experience: Demonstrated ability to perform tasks of lower job classifications

·         Safety Knowledge: Understanding of truck and equipment safety, maintenance, and chemical handling

·         Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills

·         Work Ethic: High personal integrity, strong work ethic, and the ability to remain calm under stress

·         Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively in a diverse environment



 

Required Certifications

·         PEC/Safeland

·         H2S

·         First Aid/CPR

·         Fall Protection

·         Hours of Service

·         Radiation Awareness

·         HazMat/HazCom

·         Forklift Operation

·         Fire Extinguisher training

·         Fire and Explosion Hazard training

·         Various company specific orientations

·         Required PPE (i.e., coveralls, steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.)



 

Physical Requirements

·         Mobility: Prolonged periods of standing and walking; ability to lift and move over 50 pounds

·         Flexibility: Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed

·         Availability: Capable of working overtime, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings



 

Work Environment

·         Rotation Schedule: Varies (e.g., 14/7)

·         Conditions: Outdoor work in all weather conditions, with exposure to noise and contaminants

·         Hazards: Awareness of additional hazards associated with industry



 

Travel Requirements

·         Travel: Regular travel to off-site locations required
