About the role
Orange Barrel Media is hiring a Local Sales Manager to lead our South Florida sales team and drive revenue across the region. This person will manage and develop a team of approximately four Account Executives with varying levels of experience, from first-time sellers to seasoned sales professionals.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The Local Sales Manager will set the strategy for the market while working directly alongside the team by coaching sellers through active opportunities, participating in key client meetings, and helping build a pipeline that consistently delivers against monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
The ideal candidate brings sales-management experience within the South Florida media landscape, established knowledge of the region’s advertisers and agencies, and a demonstrated ability to develop sellers while driving measurable business results.
What you'll do
- Own revenue performance for the South Florida region, setting the strategy and pace required to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop a team of approximately four Account Executives with varying levels of experience
- Build deep knowledge of the South Florida advertiser and agency landscape, including the key decision-makers and areas of greatest opportunity
- Work with the team to identify and prioritize high-value prospects with the potential to become significant, long-term OBM clients
- Develop and execute the regional go-to-market strategy, including account planning, pricing strategy, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Coach Account Executives throughout the sales process, from prospecting and initial outreach through presentations, negotiations, and closing
- Join client and prospect meetings to provide guidance, strengthen relationships, and help advance opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with key agency and brand decision-makers, stepping into major accounts and pitches as needed
- Establish clear expectations and accountability around activity, pipeline development, revenue performance, and follow-through
- Monitor pipeline, forecasts, and team performance, adjusting priorities and strategy in real time to keep the region on pace
What We're Looking For
- At least three years of sales-management experience within media, specifically in the South Florida market
- Experience within out-of-home, radio, television, cable, or another relevant media environment
- A track record of building, coaching, and developing sales teams, including sellers who are newer to the industry
- Established relationships with, or strong working knowledge of, the South Florida advertiser and agency community
- A demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding revenue targets, both individually and through a team
- Strong strategic instincts and the ability to identify where the most meaningful revenue opportunities exist
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to work directly alongside Account Executives
- Excellent coaching, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- A competitive, accountable, and results-oriented mindset
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a significant plus
