Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT) Supervisor

Overview

Make a meaningful impact where safety, compassion, and leadership come together. As a BERT Supervisor, you’ll lead a specialized team dedicated to creating a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and employees while helping prevent and respond to behavioral emergencies.

This is an opportunity to grow as a leader, develop specialized expertise in behavioral health safety and crisis response, and directly influence how we care for both our patients and our people. You’ll receive advanced Handle With Care training, develop others as a trainer and coach, and work alongside clinical and operational leaders to improve safety across the hospital.

If you’re calm under pressure, naturally step up when others need support, and want work where you can see the difference you make every day, this could be your opportunity to Lead Care with Light.

  • Maintain Handle With Care Trainer certification and support ongoing team training, drills, and competency development.
  • Partner with nursing and clinical teams to identify risks and prevent behavioral incidents before they escalate.
  • Oversee safety rounds, environmental inspections, and contraband prevention activities.
  • Review behavioral and safety incidents to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and preventive strategies.
  • Promote a culture where patient dignity, employee safety, teamwork, accountability, and compassion come first.
