Independent Sales Contractor – Plastic Injection Molding, Non-Automotive Markets 


Job Summary 

SyBridge Technologies is seeking an experienced Independent Sales Contractor to develop new business opportunities within non-automotive plastic injection molding markets across Canada. 

This opportunity is intended for a commercially driven professional with established relationships in markets such as consumer products, medical devices, healthcare, industrial products, electronics, packaging, appliances, recreational products, construction products, and other plastic injection molded applications. 

The Independent Sales Contractor will be responsible for identifying prospective customers, generating qualified sales opportunities, expanding market presence, and developing long-term customer relationships. 

The successful contractor will understand the plastic injection molding sales cycle and have the ability to identify customer needs related to tooling, mold design, engineering, prototyping, injection molding production, and related manufacturing services. 

This is an independent contractor engagement suited to a self-directed sales professional capable of independently developing and managing a strong pipeline of commercial opportunities. 


Key Responsibilities 

Identify and develop new business opportunities across Canadian non-automotive plastic injection molding markets. 

Target customers in industries such as medical, healthcare, consumer products, packaging, industrial manufacturing, electronics, appliances, construction, recreational products, and other plastics-based markets. 

Develop relationships with manufacturers, product companies, contract manufacturers, design organizations, engineering groups, purchasing teams, and other prospective customers. 

Leverage existing industry relationships while actively developing new customer contacts. 

Promote SyBridge Technologies' capabilities including mold design, mold manufacturing, prototyping, engineering, injection molding, production manufacturing, and related services. 

Identify new product launches, tooling opportunities, reshoring initiatives, supplier transitions, capacity constraints, and other potential customer needs. 

Generate qualified leads and maintain an active pipeline of prospective opportunities. 

Understand customer requirements related to part geometry, materials, volumes, tooling, timing, quality, regulatory requirements, and commercial expectations. 

Coordinate with internal estimating, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to evaluate opportunities. 

Support preparation and presentation of proposals, quotations, technical solutions, and customer presentations. 

Participate in commercial negotiations related to pricing, tooling investment, manufacturing scope, timing, volumes, and contractual requirements. 

Provide market intelligence on customer needs, competitor activity, industry trends, emerging markets, and commercial opportunities. 

Attend customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, networking opportunities, and conferences where appropriate. 

Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline reporting. 



Required Qualifications 

Five (5) or more years of sales, business development, account management, or commercial experience within plastic injection molding, tooling, contract manufacturing, plastics, or a related manufacturing sector. 

Established customer relationships within one or more non-automotive manufacturing markets are strongly preferred. 

Strong understanding of plastic injection molding, mold tooling, product development, manufacturing processes, and customer sourcing requirements. 

Demonstrated ability to independently generate leads and develop new customer accounts. 

Experience selling tooling, injection molding production, manufacturing services, engineered products, or related technical solutions is preferred. 

Strong knowledge of RFQ, estimating, quoting, and commercial negotiation processes. 

Ability to understand technical manufacturing requirements and communicate effectively with engineering and manufacturing professionals. 

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. 

Strong commercial judgment and ability to identify profitable, sustainable opportunities. 

Ability to independently manage customer relationships, travel, scheduling, and sales activities. 

Ability and willingness to travel throughout Canada and internationally as required. 

Existing relationships in medical, consumer, industrial, packaging, electronics, or other high-value plastics markets are considered a strong asset. 


Contractor Relationship 

This position is structured as an independent contractor engagement and does not create an employer-employee relationship. 

The contractor will independently manage their customer development strategy, sales activities, scheduling, and prospecting methods subject to agreed commercial objectives and contractual requirements. 

Compensation will be based on an agreed commission or sales incentive structure established within the Independent Sales Contractor Agreement. 

The contractor is responsible for maintaining appropriate business registrations, insurance, tax remittances, and other obligations associated with operating as an independent contractor.
