Title: evoTrip Host

Location: Niseko, Furano & Hakuba

Dates:  1 Jan - 28 February, 2027 (approx.)

Salary: ¥2,250 per hour

Reports to: Damian McCusker, Japan Trip Operation Lead, evoTrip

The Role: The evoTrip host is integral to supporting our multi-day, group ski & snowboard trips in Niseko, Furano & Hakuba. Working with the evoTrip team, Rhythm Rides guest services team, and Rhythm Rides guides, this host is a friendly ambassador and key facilitator of a smooth, high-quality guest experience in destination.   

Key Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Join evoTrip departures on the ground in Niseko, Furano & Hakuba, including:
    • Bringing the stoke! Making sure all guests feel welcomed, prepared, and excited.
    • Being the communication hub between guides, guests, and other local providers (lodges, restaurants, etc.) as needed, both in person and via WhatsApp group channel, including:
      • Serving as the destination liaison, providing helpful information & recommendations for guests to help maximize their experience.
      • Sharing plans for the week as well as updates each day – namely, key times, riding locations & meeting points, dinner plans, and transportation plans.
      • Working with local accommodation providers to communicate any need-to-know information about the property & services to guests.
      • Updating dinner reservations if/when guest count changes.
      • Facilitating any necessary changes in plans due to weather, guides’ judgment, and/or guest needs.
      • Meeting and transferring with guests on arrival and departure days between the airport and destination.
      • Organizing lift tickets for all guests, including pick-up from Rhythm office.
      • Joining guests for most breakfasts and dinners, as well as at least 1 day on-snow. 
      • Supporting on-the-ground trip logistics as needed.
  • Reporting any concerns, issues, and/or opportunities for improvement to evoTrip & Rides teams.

What you need to succeed:

  • Excellent people and communication skills. 
  • Japanese language skills preferred, but not required.
  • Collaborative, flexible, energetic, and curious.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Self-starter with solid problem-solving skills.
  • Previous customer service experience a must.
  • Inspired by travel and other cultures.
