The Role
Tape is hiring a temporary Community & Event Manager to lead a client activation n the West Village. You'll own the full RSVP and community-leader pipeline that drives attendance for this event - sourcing the guest list, activating NYC creators and cultural tastemakers, and making sure every attendee is tracked and every community leader gets paid accurately.

This is a fast-moving, high-ownership role for someone who already has relationships across NYC's creative and cultural scene and knows how to turn them into a packed room.

What You'll Do

Creator & Community Outreach

• Build the guest list and drive outreach to NYC cultural community leaders and creators
• Own relationships with community leaders end-to-end, from first contact through payment
• Communicate the program clearly so leaders and creators bring their own networks

RSVP & Attendee Management

• Manage Tape's RSVP tool and inbound guest communications
• Track RSVP pacing against target and flag gaps early
• Maintain accurate attendance records to support per-attendee community leader payouts

On-Site & Content

• Support check-in and guest experience across both event days
• Capture attendee social content for Tape and the client

Ongoing Community Support

• Help manage Tape's broader member and creator community - reviewing new members, monitoring social engagement, and inviting new creators

What We're Looking For

• Existing relationships within NYC's cultural, creative, and community-organizing scene
• Experience in community management, event coordination, talent/influencer relations, or experiential marketing
• A track record of driving attendance or RSVPs at scale
• Comfort owning a high-volume inbound message queue
• Strong organizational skills, especially around lists, headcounts, and payment tracking
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Fluency on Instagram, TikTok, and other creator platforms
• Ability to self-direct on a compressed timeline
• Nice to have: experience with HeyMarket or similar SMS platforms; background in spirits, hospitality, or nightlife activations.

Contract
Temporary, project engagement based in NYC, with required on-site presence for the event dates. Compensation: $1,250.
