Member of Commercial Staff
About the Role
This is a generalist commercial role at a pre-seed European energy technology startup, sitting directly alongside the founding team in Berlin. You will build the commercial infrastructure that makes growth possible across finance, legal, recruiting, customer support, and partner management in a licensed, regulated energy business where getting operations right directly earns customer trust.
What You'll Do
Take on varied commercial challenges spanning finance, legal, recruiting, customer support, and partner management as the company scales.
Own problems end-to-end, from scoping through execution, and deliver high-quality work you are proud of.
Shift focus and priorities fluidly as the business evolves and new needs emerge.
Help design and embed operating practices and processes alongside your core responsibilities.
Contribute to a culture of clear communication, ownership, and craftsmanship in a fully in-person environment.
What We're Looking For
2 or more years of proven performance in a high-performance environment such as a high-growth startup, consulting, investment banking, professional sports, or high-end hospitality.
Versatile background in banking, legal, operations, partnerships, or another domain that adds commercial leverage.
Rapid learner who can move from novice to effective within days by talking to experts and thinking from first principles.
Strong interpersonal style: kind and engaging, with the ability to push for results when it matters.
Proactive owner who spots broken processes and fixes them without waiting for permission.
Early-career or emerging commercial talent on a steep growth trajectory, rather than a seasoned management profile.
A clear spike or sign of exceptionality, whether in academic, entrepreneurial, athletic, or professional achievement.
German fluency at C1 level or above is required.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: 75,000 to 100,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Location
On-site, five days per week in Berlin, Germany (Mitte). Remote or hybrid arrangements are not offered for this position.
