Sign Fabricator / Cabinet Builder

Lloydminster, SaskatchewanFull TimePosted Jul 20, 2026

Onsite Sign Group has been designing and building landmarks across Western Canada since 1993. From a two-person garage operation to a 30,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, we now employ over 60 people across 7 cities in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Our Lloydminster facility is the manufacturing heart of the company — every custom project moves through design, CNC, fabrication, paint, assembly, and shipping before it is installed across the Prairies.

We are hiring hands-on fabricators to build illuminated and non-illuminated sign cabinets, cladding, faces, frames, and custom components. Everything we build is custom — no production lines, no repetition, real craftsmanship on projects you will see standing across the Prairies for decades.

If you are a cabinet builder or finish carpenter, read this twice. Sign fabrication is precision box-building: exact layout, square assemblies, tight tolerances, clean finishing. Your skills transfer directly. We are equally interested in people from cabinetmaking, custom millwork, exhibit building, or other accurate build-to-drawing work — you bring the precision, and we will teach you our materials and methods.

What You'll Do
•    Read shop drawings, work orders, cut lists, and job specifications.
•    Measure, mark, cut, drill, route, bend, bond, rivet, and fasten parts accurately.
•    Build square, clean, and serviceable sign cabinets, faces, retainers, frames, and custom assemblies.
•    Work with aluminum extrusion, sheet aluminum, ACM, acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, wood products, plastics, and adhesives.
•    Use saws, drills, routers, sanders, brakes, shears, hand tools, and assembly equipment safely.
•    Dry-fit components and complete in-process checks before work moves to paint or assembly.
•    Identify missing material, drawing conflicts, or fit-up issues before they delay the next department.
•    Complete finishing, cleanup, labelling, and required production records.
•    Maintain tools and a clean, organized work area.

What We're Looking For
•    Experience in fabrication, cabinetmaking, custom millwork, carpentry, exhibit building, or a comparable trade.
•    Able to read drawings and work accurately from measurements.
•    Confident using hand and power tools.
•    Strong attention to fit, finish, and small details.
•    Able to lift and move materials and stand for a full shift.
•    Reliable, safety-minded, and comfortable working as part of a production team.

Experience That Is an Asset
•    Cabinet-building or custom-millwork experience — a direct fit for this work.
•    Sign-cabinet, aluminum-extrusion, plastics, or sheet-metal experience.
•    Basic MIG or TIG welding and forklift experience.

What We Offer
•    $24–$34 per hour, based on demonstrated experience and ability.
•    Health and dental benefits after the successful completion of the probationary period.
•    Full-time, year-round work — Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. — home every night.
•    Practical training and a real path to advancement — we promote from within.
•    Stable, growing company with over 30 years in business.

Photos of past work — cabinets, builds, finished projects — are welcome with your application and will get our attention.
