  • Inspect, clean and sort returned LED panels, modules, processors, receiving cards, power supplies, cabling, frames and rigging hardware into serviceable, faulty and write-off categories.
  • Quarantine and clearly label all faulty or damaged items so they are not re-issued before repair.

Diagnosis and repair

  • Own the LED repair function, diagnosing and repairing faults on LED panels and associated equipment in line with manufacturer guidance and the Company's standards and procedures.
  • Carry out module, receiving card, hub board, power supply and data/power connector replacement, and component-level repair (including SMD/LED pixel replacement and soldering) where practical.
  • Perform calibration, colour and brightness matching, and firmware updates on panels, modules and processors (e.g. Brompton, NovaStar, Colorlight or equivalent) so replacement parts blend seamlessly with existing stock.

  • Manage the LED spares inventory, monitoring stock levels of modules, cards, PSUs, cables and consumables and raising requirements in good time.

Prep and deployment

  • Prep LED equipment for forthcoming jobs in line with pick lists and project requirements, ensuring the correct product, quantities, processing, spares and accessories are allocated.
  • Build and test LED screen configurations in the warehouse where required, confirming mapping, processor configuration and signal flow before dispatch.
  • Ensure all equipment and flight case tour labels are marked up correctly for specific jobs.
  • Ensure an appropriate on-site spares kit (modules, cards, PSUs, cables) is prepared and sent with each LED deployment.
  • Inform the Video Manager of any shortages or issues with equipment or consumables for forthcoming orders.
  • Provide technical briefings and handover notes to site crews where required, and offer remote troubleshooting support to crews on site.
