Finance Manager, Southeast Asia
Job Summary
The Finance Manager, Southeast Asia (SEA), plays a pivotal role in supporting financial strategy, optimizing revenue opportunities, and providing insights that drive informed business decision-making within SEA markets. Reporting to the Regional Finance Director APAC, this role works closely with business leaders, client servicing teams, and finance counterparts to ensure financial data is effectively analyzed and translated into actionable strategies that support growth and operational excellence.
With a strong focus on financial workflows, operational efficiency, and commercial performance, this position contributes to evolving business needs and transformation initiatives. The Manager also collaborates with the Hoffman Asia Pacific Operations team, ensuring best practices and commercial strategies are implemented to enhance business performance.
Responsibilities Overview
Business Partnership & Commercial Finance Collaboration
- Partner with business leaders, Finance, and Operations counterparts to provide financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Analyze financial data to deliver clear, actionable recommendations tailored for non-finance stakeholders
- Collaborate with regional finance teams to support pricing strategies and maintain SEA markets’ competitiveness.
- Lead SEA client contract reviews, ensuring financial viability and optimizing pricing structures.
- Manage Net Working Capital (NWC) to improve liquidity and cash flow efficiency across SEA operations.
Financial Planning & Revenue Management
- Lead budgeting and forecasting, ensuring alignment with business goals and commercial targets.
- Ensure financial reporting processes enable accurate, timely, and meaningful insights for business leaders.
- Work closely with regional finance team to maintain a robust financial control framework, balancing risk management with commercial agility.
Cross-Functional Finance Collaboration & Process Enhancement
- Align financial planning, reporting, and control measures across SEA with regional finance counterparts.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiencies.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice implementation across SEA finance teams.
- Contribute to workflow enhancements and system improvements, ensuring scalable solutions that support future growth.
Financial Operations & Compliance
- Ensure financial transactions are accurately processed, recorded, and reconciled within established policies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows, improving efficiency in transaction processing.
- Maintain awareness of financial risks, working closely with regional finance teams to assess, mitigate, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support the development, refinement, and enforcement of finance-related policies and best practices across SEA operations.
What We’re Looking For
- 5-7 years of experience in finance, including exposure to FP&A, or commercial finance. Demonstrated success in leading ERP system implementations or driving finance transformation initiatives is highly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in collaborating with business and finance teams across Southeast Asia region. Proficiency in English is essential, while Mandarin is an advantage.
- Strong analytical mindset, able to translate financial data into meaningful insights.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a solution-driven approach.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly across SEA finance and regional teams as well as business counterparts.
- Strong proficiency in productivity suites e.g. Excel and has prior experience working with various systems.
- Candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for the Senior Finance Manager level.
