The Corporate Income Tax Agency (CITA) is a statutory body established under the Corporate Income Tax Agency Act 2024. CITA is responsible for administering the corporate income tax regime.


Senior Manager, Finance


The Sr. Manager of Finance (SMF) reports to and works closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The SMF provides leadership and management of the company’s day-to-day financial and accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with applicable financial regulations, effective financial controls, and sound financial management practices.
The Sr. Manager of Finance also leads and/or performs key finance and accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounting operations, reconciliations, internal controls, and financial analysis. The role provides guidance to the Finance Team and supports the effective allocation of resources, prioritization of work, and consistent application of financial policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

▪ Perform and prepare monthly financial statements for presentation to the executive team, the CFO, and Board as appropriate.
▪ Manage the Audit process to respond to requests from the Office of the Auditor General.
▪ Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate classification and documentation of financial data.
▪ Prepare trial balances and financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
▪ Perform and prepare monthly financial statements for presentation to the executive team, the CFO and Board as appropriate.
▪ Prepare and review financial reports, analyses, and dashboards that measure operational and financial performance.
▪ Manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
▪ Manage the performance and development of direct reports effectively.


Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

▪ A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required.
▪ A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA) is required.
▪ In-depth knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
▪ Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
▪ Familiarity with international accounting standards and Bermuda’s financial regulations.
▪ Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial management with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management position.
▪ Experience in double entry bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, general ledgers, and conducting reconciliations.
▪ Proven ability to manage financial operations and reporting.
▪ In depth knowledge and experience in auditing and internal controls to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
▪ Demonstrated ability to analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
