About the Job

Registry Services Account Executive

MinuteBox is a cloud-based platform used by law firms, large companies, and accounting firms for entity management, corporate governance, minute book storage and workflow automation. Its innovative suite of products are used by some of Canada's largest legal departments and global professional services organizations. The team has created the most powerful, accessible and secure legal technology available and the company is growing quickly as they continue to expand their footprint across North America and abroad.

As a Registry Services Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle for our fastest-growing product line: registrations, searches & filings. You will be selling a category-defining product into a market that is actively looking for a better way to do due diligence and regulatory filings and you will be at the front of the room, showing legal and compliance professionals how MinuteBox can transform the way they work.

Reporting to our President of Searches & Filings, you will work alongside Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Professional Services to convert warm pipeline, generate new opportunities, and build lasting relationships with some of the top legal professionals in North America.

Role Overview

  • You'll own a full sales cycle, from identifying stakeholders, to booking meetings with decision makers, to shepherding, closing deals and increasing search & filing usage.
  • This job will require at least 30% top of funnel activities (i.e. cold calling, emailing, LinkedIn messaging etc), however there is a good amount of existing pipeline and funnel to target.
  • You will inform and shape the team's strategy and registry products by tracking your sales performance metrics, activity and reporting them to the rest of the team on a regular basis.
  • You'll be leveraging our CRM & sales automation tools to deploy a mix of creative sales strategies to interact with your prospects.
  • Maintain a high conversion rate from top of funnel to close, leveraging your skills and experience to communicate value while driving relationships with amazing legal professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Drive success of the company's goals and objectives through achieving individual sales quotas.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline through prospecting efforts into a geographic territory or within the core verticals.
  • Create and follow-up with inquiries in a timely, professional, and persistent manner.
  • Develop and deliver customized sales presentations and product demonstrations, by phone, via online demo or in person.
  • Develop and negotiate proposals and contracts.
  • Forecast sales activity and revenue achievements accurately through proper use of sales tools.

What You Should Have

  • You are competitive and driven to achieve goals.
  • You are articulate and poised with a clear and concise spoken and written communication style.
  • You are flexible, adaptive, and resilient.
  • You have the ability to travel ~10% of the time.
  • You have experience engaging multiple stakeholders throughout the sales cycle, both internally and externally.
  • You're tech savvy and use the tools at your disposal to improve and inform your sales process.
  • You possess a strong understanding of a sales pipeline, how to drive a sales cycle, and the ability to anchor decision-making around your sales strategies in data.
  • You have a track record of previous success in a full-cycle role, consistently smashing your targets and working collaboratively with your team.
  • A growth mindset, with a strong desire to improve your sales skills through coaching and mentorship.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a knack for building trust-based relationships.
  • The ability to quickly pinpoint problems, handle objections, and come up with creative solutions to keep the action going.
  • You use a consultative approach when helping clients with a focus on needs discovery, and you have an ease to build trust to influence their decisions.
  • You enjoy collaboration and you are used to working closely with other functions like Marketing and Product to build feedback loops between Sales and the rest of the business.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in an AE role or equivalent quota-carrying role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years SaaS sales and/or legal experience.
  • Proficient computer application skills, including HubSpot and G-Suite.
  • Experience selling web-based products/services.
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to over-achieve quotas.
  • Knowledge of law and legal technology is an asset, but not required.
  • An understanding of corporate searches & filings (e.g., corporate registries, PPSA/lien searches, individual searches, litigation and bankruptcy searches, annual returns, incorporations) is not required, but is a strong asset. We will train the right person on the product and the domain.
