JOB DUTIES

  • Deliver various items to assigned locations in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Follow assigned or prescribed routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries.
  • Ensure delivery deadlines are met.
  • Load and unload the vehicle as required.
  • Inspect, operate, and maintain the assigned vehicle, ensuring it is kept clean and in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and related information for reference and confirmation.
  • Adhere to all road safety rules, regulations, and company driving policies.
  • Review and verify invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by Management.

 

CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Delivery Driver.
  • Strong familiarity with local streets, neighborhoods, and routes.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Must maintain a neat and professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • Highly responsible, dependable, and reliable.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English and possess strong communication skills.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing tasks that require pushing, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid Cayman Islands Group 2 driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 25 years of age to meet the eligibility requirements of the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
  • Must have a clean driving record and demonstrate safe and responsible driving practices.

 

WORK HOURS:

40 hour work week, Willingness to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and flexible hours if required.


COMPENSATION:
CI$11.00 - CI$15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
