A Day in the Life

Join our GOSC Hyperautomation Team and help shape the future of intelligent automation and artificial intelligence. In this role, you will combine technical expertise, team leadership, and project delivery experience to develop advanced AI solutions that drive business transformation across the enterprise.

As a Senior IT Supervisor - Data Science / AI Development, you will serve as a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and deploying innovative AI and intelligent automation solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions while mentoring and leading a high-performing team.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Design, develop, and deploy Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions for enterprise business challenges.
• Perform data exploration, feature engineering, model training, validation, optimization, and performance monitoring.
• Build and implement Large Language Model (LLM) applications, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, AI agents, document intelligence systems, and intelligent automation workflows.
• Develop scalable AI solutions using Python, SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Snowflake Cortex AI, Cortex Agents, and Databricks AI/BI Genie.
• Lead technical development activities, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure development quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
• Supervise and mentor team members, provide technical guidance, allocate work, and support career development.
• Manage project planning, resource allocation, sprint execution, effort estimation, risk management, Jira tracking, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, documentation, and ongoing support activities.
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and Responsible AI principles.

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

• 8+ years of IT experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, MCA, MSc
• Relevant experience in Data Science, AI/ML, Advanced Analytics, or related software development disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience in technical leadership, team mentoring, and project delivery.
• Strong hands-on programming expertise in Python and SQL.
• Solid understanding of Statistics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, and Text Analytics.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms, forecasting, anomaly detection, and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Hands-on experience with: Generative AI (GenAI) Large Language Models (LLMs) Prompt Engineering Embeddings Vector Databases Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Agentic AI
• Experience developing and deploying end-to-end AI/ML solutions in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Snowflake and Databricks platforms.
• Knowledge of Snowflake Cortex AI, Cortex Agents, and Databricks AI/BI Genie.
• Experience leading technical teams, managing work priorities, and delivering projects within established timelines.
• Experience working within Agile environments, including sprint planning, Jira management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery coordination.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have: 

• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel.
• Experience developing applications using Streamlit, FastAPI, vector databases, and enterprise API integrations.
• Knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with intelligent automation technologies including UiPath and Microsoft Power Automate.
• Experience delivering AI and analytics solutions within Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Quality, or related business functions.
• Experience working within healthcare, medical technology, life sciences, or highly regulated industries.
