Junior QA Automation Engineer

About the Role:

We’re building a modern ticketing system and are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer to help ensure it’s reliable, stable, and ready for real-world use. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining test automation, validating new features, and catching issues early as we continue to develop the product.

General Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated tests for API, E2E, and regression testing
• Set up and manage test environments using Docker containers and relevant tooling
• Collaborate with developers and QA to identify edge cases, write test plans, and reproduce bugs

Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js environment) and understanding of asynchronous programming and Promises
• Some experience writing simple SQL queries for data setup, validation, or debugging in relational databases
• Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP protocols, and some experience using API testing tools
• Willingness to learn and write clean, maintainable test automation code
• Exposure to Docker and containerized environments
• Familiarity with Git and basic version control workflows
• Eager to develop attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying issues and checking functionality

Will be a plus:

• Experience with Playwright for automation testing
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
• Performance Testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools
