Position Overview
The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a strategic and revenue-supporting role within AIM. This is not a traditional brand-only marketing position — it is a performance-driven, business-aligned role that connects digital marketing initiatives directly to inside sales activity and pipeline generation.
In addition to managing digital campaigns, analytics, and brand standards, this individual will actively support lead generation, client outreach, prospect engagement, and interest development across AIM’s service offerings.
The ideal candidate understands that marketing and inside sales go hand in hand. You will work closely with the Director of Digital Transformation, sales leadership, and business development teams to:
- Generate qualified leads
- Nurture inbound and outbound prospects
- Engage directly with potential clients
- Support conversion initiatives across multiple business units
This role reports to the Director of Digital Transformation and collaborates closely with Content, Social Media, Product, and Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Strategy & Revenue Alignment
- Develop and execute a digital marketing strategy aligned with revenue targets and pipeline goals.
- Ensure all campaigns are measurable and tied to business impact.
- Support go-to-market initiatives for AIM’s services including API management, cloud, cybersecurity, and digital transformation solutions.
- Translate marketing insights into actionable sales opportunities.
2. Lead Generation & Inside Sales Support
- Proactively identify, research, and engage target accounts across North America and global markets.
- Support outbound campaigns including LinkedIn outreach, email sequences, and targeted prospecting.
- Follow up on inbound leads and qualify opportunities before passing to senior sales.
- Help establish interest in relevant Lines of Business and Business Units.
- Assist in scheduling discovery meetings and nurturing warm prospects.
- Maintain CRM accuracy, segmentation, and pipeline visibility.
- Work collaboratively with sales teams to improve conversion rates and shorten sales cycles.
3. Market & Competitor Intelligence
- Conduct market research to identify trends, demand patterns, and new opportunities.
- Analyze competitor positioning, pricing, messaging, and campaigns.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve positioning and differentiation.
- Support business development decisions with market data.
4. Customer Insights & Funnel Optimization
- Analyze customer behavior, acquisition funnels, and conversion metrics.
- Improve segmentation and targeting strategies.
- Support customer journey mapping and lifecycle marketing.
- Identify gaps in funnel performance and propose optimization strategies.
5. Website & Digital Experience Management
- Own AIM’s website performance and content strategy.
- Ensure messaging aligns with brand positioning and business objectives.
- Improve UX, conversion paths, landing pages, and calls-to-action.
- Recommend tools and improvements to enhance digital presence.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency across all digital assets.
6. Brand Standards & Asset Management
- Maintain and enforce brand consistency across all channels.
- Develop standardized templates (email signatures, proposals, decks, documents).
- Ensure alignment between marketing, sales, and corporate materials.
- Update outdated collateral and ensure compliance with current brand guidelines.
7. Graphic Design & Creative Asset Development
- Design and produce high-quality digital and print-ready marketing assets that support brand awareness, lead generation, and sales initiatives.
- Create visually engaging content for social media campaigns, websites, landing pages, email marketing, digital advertisements, webinars, events, and corporate communications.
- Develop infographics, solution briefs, case studies, one-pagers, brochures, banners, and presentation decks that effectively communicate technical concepts to business audiences.
- Design and maintain visual assets for AIM's Lines of Business (LOBs) and Business Units (BUs) while ensuring brand consistency.
- Create and optimize creative assets for paid advertising campaigns across Google, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
- Collaborate with content writers, subject matter experts, and sales teams to convert complex information into visually compelling marketing materials.
- Produce graphics, illustrations, diagrams, icons, and visual storytelling elements that improve engagement and campaign performance.
- Maintain a centralized digital asset library including templates, marketing collateral, brand elements, and reusable design components.
- Ensure all creative work follows AIM brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and user experience best practices.
- Stay current with emerging design trends, creative technologies, AI-assisted design tools, and digital content formats.
8. Campaign Management & Growth Initiatives
- Plan, execute, and optimize campaigns across:
- Google Ads
- SEO/SEM
- Email marketing
- Content marketing
- Develop measurable campaigns focused on awareness, engagement, and qualified leads.
- Manage newsletters, marketing automation workflows, and e-blasts.
- Track cost-per-lead, ROI, and pipeline attribution.
9. Analytics & Reporting
- Track and analyze performance using Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and campaign dashboards.
- Define KPIs and monthly benchmarks.
- Present performance reports to leadership.
- Identify patterns, trends, and growth opportunities.
- Support forecasting and planning with data-backed insights.
10. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and leadership teams.
- Align campaign strategy with business development goals.
- Support proposal content and client-facing materials when required.
- Partner with content owners to build integrated marketing campaigns.
What You Bring
Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within technology or B2B services.
- Experience supporting lead generation and sales enablement.
- Experience working in growing or scaling organizations.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with:
- Google Ads
- Google Analytics
- Google Tag Manager
- LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Strong CRM management skills (Dynamics, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
- Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and paid media optimization.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms.
- Email marketing tools such as Mailchimp.
- Proficiency in Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator.
- Strong data analysis capabilities with ability to translate insights into action.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Express.
- Strong understanding of graphic design principles including typography, color theory, visual hierarchy, layout composition, and branding.
- Experience creating digital assets for social media, websites, email campaigns, paid advertising, and sales enablement.
- Ability to design infographics, marketing collateral, pitch decks, case studies, brochures, and executive presentations.
- Experience with UI/UX design concepts and landing page visual optimization.
- Experience using creative and AI-powered design tools such as Canva, Adobe Firefly, Microsoft Designer, Figma, Midjourney, or similar platforms.
