Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Business Analyst with experience in data analytics, data modeling, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support Sales operations and executive leadership. This role will focus on developing advanced models and delivering actionable insights to optimize strategies and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in Power BI, Tableau and Excel with solid FP&A capabilities, and will actively leverage AI-driven tools and technologies to automate analysis, uncover insights and support data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Modeling and Analysis:
- Design, build, and maintain complex financial and operational models to support sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue optimization.
- Lead and support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range revenue planning processes
- Analyze historical and real-time data to identify trends, correlations, and performance drivers.
- Use predictive analytics to forecast sales outcomes and recommend actionable strategies.
Reporting and Visualization:
- Develop dynamic dashboards and reports in Power BI/Tableau to provide real-time insights for the CSO and sales leadership.
- Collaborate to create similar reporting inside of Salesforce (SFDC).
- Create Excel-based models and tools for scenario planning, budget forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data in all reporting and modeling activities.
Strategic Collaboration:
- Partner with the CSO and sales teams to identify business challenges and develop data-driven solutions.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales processes, resource allocation, and goal achievement.
- Support sales planning and quarterly business reviews by preparing analytical deliverables and presentations.
Data Governance and Quality:
- Maintain robust data governance processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with IT and finance to resolve data quality issues and optimize data sources.
Ad Hoc Analysis and Support:
- Respond to ad hoc requests for analysis and modeling from the CSO and other stakeholders.
- Conduct deep dives into specific performance areas, identifying opportunities for improvement and conduct variance analysis.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), financial modeling, or business intelligence roles.
- Proven experience supporting sales teams, executive leadership and cross-functional alignment.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau including DAX and Power Query.
- Mastery of Excel, including macros, VBA, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and data querying (e.g., SQL) is a plus.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to executive audiences.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong financial acumen and analytical mindset with high level of attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and actionable outcomes.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to synthesize data into insights and recommendations that drive business decisions.
- Team Collaboration: Comfortable working across departments and collaborating with senior leadership.
