About the Role

East West Hospitality is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Engineering Technician to join our Engineering team in Snowmass Village. This hands-on position is responsible for maintaining the safety, appearance, and functionality of residential and hospitality properties while delivering exceptional service to guests, homeowners, and fellow associates.

The Engineering Technician performs preventive maintenance, responds to work orders, assists with troubleshooting building systems, and supports evening operations across multiple properties. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow within the hospitality maintenance field.

    • Job Location: Snowmass Mountain Lodging
    • Pay Rate: $26 to $32/Hourly
    • Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    • Employment Status: Full -Time Year Round
    • Start Date: ASAP

Essential Responsibilities
Guest & Homeowner Service
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest, homeowner, and operational maintenance requests.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while working in occupied residences and guest accommodations.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners, guests, front desk personnel, and coworkers.
  • Support after-hours operational needs and emergency response situations.
Maintenance & Repairs
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance throughout residential and hospitality properties.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, lighting, doors, locks, and general building systems.
  • Complete minor carpentry, drywall, painting, and cosmetic repairs.
  • Replace lamps, fixtures, batteries, filters, and other building components as needed.
  • Assist with seasonal maintenance projects and property improvement initiatives.
Pool & Spa Operations
  • Monitor pools, spas, and mechanical equipment during evening hours.
  • Test water chemistry and make adjustments as directed.
  • Clean filters, equipment areas, and pool facilities to maintain safe and attractive conditions.
  • Report equipment concerns or operational deficiencies to supervisors.
Property Inspections
  • Conduct routine inspections of common areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior property features.
  • Identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues.
  • Ensure properties remain clean, safe, and well-maintained throughout the shift.
Work Order Management
  • Complete assigned work orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Document completed work, materials used, and follow-up requirements.
  • Prioritize tasks based on operational needs, guest impact, and supervisor direction.
  • Communicate unresolved issues and shift updates to the Engineering Supervisor.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all East West Hospitality safety policies and procedures.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safe work practices.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for guests, homeowners, and team members.
  • Support emergency response procedures when necessary.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1–3 years of maintenance, facilities, construction, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve routine maintenance issues.
  • Strong work ethics and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities during evening hours.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience in hospitality, resort, condominium, or residential property maintenance is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
