REGENT

Commercial Business Development Analyst

North Kingstown, Rhode Island, USAFull TimePosted Nov 4, 2026

At REGENT, we’re on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation between coastal cities. We're not just building vehicles, we're creating a new category of transportation: the Seaglider. These groundbreaking wing-in-ground-effect craft travel just above the water’s surface, combining the speed of an airplane with the low operating costs of a boat. Capable of 180 miles at 180 mph on today's battery tech (and up to 400 miles with next-gen batteries), Seagliders will unlock fast, affordable, and sustainable coastal transit for passengers and cargo - connecting cities, islands, and communities like never before.

Backed by leading investors and powered by a team of passionate, forward-thinking engineers, builders, and operators, we’re now scaling from a breakthrough prototype to full production - and building the team to make it happen.

Role Overview

REGENT is reinventing coastal transportation with the Seaglider, and the Sales & Marketing team is where the technical story of that product meets the commercial reality of bringing it to market. We're looking for a Commercial Business Development Analyst to join that team, someone who can build the financial models and business cases that inform how airlines, operators, and ecosystem partners think about the Seaglider, and then stand in front of a room and explain that work with clarity and polish. One week might mean building a P&L model or cost forecast from scratch with limited direction, and the next might mean representing REGENT at an industry conference or speaking engagement halfway around the world.

This role sits at the center of a lot of REGENT's external-facing commercial work, which means you'll move fluidly between fast-turnaround internal deliverables and polished, technically fluent external representation, often within the same week. You'll partner closely with teammates across the data, sales, ecosystems, and marketing functions, and you'll have real ownership over how REGENT's commercial story gets told in rooms that matter.

If you're the kind of person who thrives on turning ambiguity into structure, takes genuine pride in a beautifully built deck or model, and gets energy from representing a mission you believe in out in the world, this is a role where you'll do some of your best work.

*Note: This role is fully on-site in Rhode Island.

What You'll Do

  • Build the Business Case: You'll construct financial models, cost analyses, and P&L forecasts that help shape how REGENT and its partners evaluate commercial opportunities. More than half of your work will live in this kind of modeling, so you'll become a go-to voice on the numbers behind the story.

  • Craft Polished Deliverables: You'll produce decks, documents, and analyses in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel that are ready to go in front of executives, partners, and prospective customers. These materials are often how REGENT's commercial thinking gets seen, so the bar for quality is high.

  • Navigate Ambiguity With Structure: Many of the projects you'll take on will start vague and move fast, often with turnaround measured in days rather than weeks. You'll bring your own structure and judgment to these projects rather than waiting for a fully defined brief.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: You'll work closely with teammates across sales, marketing, and commercial functions, and your communication skills will be essential to how information flows between them. You'll be a connective voice that helps technical and commercial perspectives understand each other.

  • Support the Sales Engine: You'll work directly with the sales team and help maintain and use CRM tools like Pipedrive to keep commercial pipeline and partner relationships organized. Over time, you'll become fluent in how this data connects to the broader commercial strategy.

  • Grow With New Tools: You'll bring familiarity with Python and AI into your daily workflow and help the team explore how these tools can make commercial analysis faster and sharper. As REGENT's tools evolve, you'll be part of shaping how the team uses them.

  • Ecosystem Development: You'll work with corporate, government, and community stakeholders in key geographical regions to accelerate customers go-to-market efforts around infrastructure, workforce, and policy readiness.

What You'll Bring

  • Excel and PowerPoint Mastery: You're already an expert in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and you can produce polished, presentation-ready materials quickly. This is foundational to the role from day one.

  • Financial Modeling: You have real experience building financial models and business case forecasts, whether that's cost modeling, P&L analysis, or similar quantitative work. You're comfortable turning raw numbers into a clear commercial narrative.

  • Sharp Communication Skills: You can present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and you collaborate naturally across teams with different priorities. You know how to read a room and adjust your delivery accordingly.

  • Comfort With Python and AI: You have working familiarity with Python and AI tools, and you're excited to keep building on that as these tools become a bigger part of daily commercial work. You see technology as a way to work smarter, not just faster.

  • A Steady Hand Under Pace: You thrive when priorities shift quickly and most tasks need to be turned around in under a week. You stay organized and clear-headed even when juggling several things at once.

  • Stage Presence: You have experience representing a company at events, conferences, or speaking engagements, and you're comfortable being the face of an organization in front of external audiences. You carry yourself with professionalism in both internal and external settings.

  • Polish and Presence: You bring strong interpersonal skills and a level of professional polish that comes through whether you're in an internal strategy session or on stage at a conference. People trust you the moment you start speaking.

Bonus Experience

  • Industry Background a Plus: Experience in aviation, cruise, or ferry industries would help you hit the ground running, though it's not required. What matters most is how quickly you can learn the commercial landscape REGENT operates in.

  • Sales-Savvy a Bonus: Familiarity with sales techniques and CRM platforms like Pipedrive is a nice-to-have that will make your ramp-up smoother. We're happy to teach this, but prior exposure means you'll be contributing to the sales partnership even faster.

Who We're Looking For

  • Collaborative Team Player: You believe that great things happen when teams work together. You communicate effectively and collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams to align on goals and move projects forward. You bring people together, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and moving towards a shared vision.

  • Creative Problem Solver: You thrive on tackling complex challenges and finding innovative solutions. You don't just patch issues - you improve processes, anticipate downstream impacts, and help turn one-off fixes into scalable solutions that raise the bar for future builds.

  • Adaptable & Agile: In a fast-paced, ever-evolving startup environment, you quickly adapt to changing priorities and requirements. You approach challenges with a calm, resilient mindset, and know how to pivot and adjust your approach as needed, ensuring that progress continues without missing a beat.

  • Innovative Mindset: You’re driven by curiosity and a passion for technology. You’re passionate about driving continuous improvement, embracing new technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and team performance.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation including a robust equity incentive plan.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance - we cover 100% of your premiums.

  • 401(k) with company matching, so you can plan for the future.

  • Generous flexible time off, paid parental leave, and company-wide holiday breaks.

  • Relocation packages available for those moving to join our team.

  • Daily, free catered lunches

  • Learning & professional development opportunities

If you’re ready to take on an exciting challenge, grow with us, and make a lasting impact, we want to hear from you. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, but you see yourself contributing to our mission, we encourage you to apply! We value diverse skillsets and experiences and believe in the potential of passionate individuals to make a big impact.
