Locally owned by the Butler family, Butler Enterprises has been in business in Gainesville for over 85 years. The Butler Shopping Center District is a commercial property management and shopping center development. We are seeking qualified candidates to join our maintenance team. 

Our maintenance team ensures Butler Shopping Center District remains in excellent working condition by performing routine maintenance duties.

PRIMARY FUNCTION (not inclusive; other duties may be assigned outside the scope of this description):

• Receive daily assignments from the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Water flowers. 
• Perform basic plumbing repairs. 
• Perform minor repairs and general maintenance.
• Touch-up and/or repaint rooms.
• Operate maintenance equipment such as hand saw, planer, joiner, shaper, table saw, wood lathe, drill press, sanding machine, router, and electric drill.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and other maintenance equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition. 
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and moving furniture.
• Keep maintenance areas neat and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be reliable.
• Ability to perform tasks independently after being given specific instructions.
• Ability to stand, crouch, climb ladders, and other various physical demands needed to perform required manual labor functions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
