Surgical Periodontist: Sacramento to Reno, Twice Monthly

Reno, NV (recruiting from Sacramento and Northern California) | Part-Time, About 2 Days per Month | No Relocation | Collections-Based

Add two high-production surgical days a month without building another referral network or opening another office. A confidential, dentist-owned group wants a Sacramento-area Periodontist with advanced surgical skills to travel to Reno about twice a month. Cases are coordinated and stacked before you arrive, so your time is spent on surgery, not filling a schedule.

The work

  • Complex implant placement and full-arch implant surgery
  • Fully impacted third molars and complex surgical extractions
  • In-office IV sedation
  • Bone grafting, ridge augmentation, sinus augmentation and socket preservation
  • Soft tissue grafting and periodontal surgery
  • Implant complication management

This isn't a maintenance role. The goal is for you to treat a meaningful share of the advanced cases that would otherwise be referred outside the organization.

The practice

  • 100% dentist-owned and dentist-led: no private equity, no corporate bureaucracy
  • Built-in referrals from pediatric and high-producing general dentists, coordinated internally before each visit
  • Established Reno facilities with experienced clinical and administrative teams
  • Strong clinical autonomy; you decide which cases fit your scope

Schedule and growth

  • About two Reno visits per month, with dedicated surgical schedules built in advance
  • Keep your California practice and other commitments
  • Room to add Reno days, support more Northern Nevada practices, help build surgical protocols and explore long-term partnership

What you need

  • DDS/DMD and an accredited periodontics residency
  • Board-certified or board-eligible preferred
  • A Nevada dental license and sedation permit, or the ability to obtain them
  • Advanced implant surgery and strong bone grafting skills
  • Experience with complex surgical extractions, fully impacted third molars and office-based IV sedation
  • Willingness to travel from Northern California to Reno about twice a month

Compensation

Collections-based, with a high-value procedure mix concentrated into fewer clinical days and significant daily earning potential, plus upside as the specialty program grows.
