Founding Product Engineer
About the Role
Join the engineering team at a seed-stage AI communications company as a Founding Product Engineer. You will own customer-focused product features from early discovery through production, helping businesses across Europe automate phone-based customer interactions.
What You'll Do
Take features from initial hypothesis and prototype through architecture, implementation, and production release.
Develop and test product hypotheses through rapid experiments and lightweight prototypes.
Work regularly with customers, partners, and Sales to identify real user problems.
Build tracking and use relevant metrics to evaluate outcomes and guide product decisions.
Develop across the stack and make pragmatic technical choices that balance validation with future scalability.
Take ownership of initiatives and move them forward with limited oversight.
What We're Looking For
At least three years of product engineering experience delivering software features end to end, ideally in a startup environment.
Full-stack experience with Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, and React.
Experience owning software from architecture and implementation through production release.
German proficiency at B2 level or above and fluent English communication skills.
A strong product mindset, customer focus, and comfort using data to support decisions.
Experience integrating large language models or building AI-powered features is an advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual compensation is €80,000 to €120,000, with equity. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
This is a remote-first role based in Germany, with working-hour overlap in CET.
