Taggart Construction Limited is looking for an experienced Foreperson to lead water and sewer infrastructure crews on civil construction projects across Ottawa. If you know how to run a safe, productive site; keep crews focused; read drawings, grades, and specs; and deliver underground infrastructure work the right way, we want to hear from you.

 

This role is specifically suited to candidates with hands-on leadership experience in watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and related heavy civil infrastructure work.

 

What you’ll do:

• Lead daily field operations for water, sewer, storm, site servicing, grading, and roadwork projects.
• Coordinate crews, equipment, materials, inspectors, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Keep work moving safely, efficiently, and to specification.
• Read and interpret drawings, grades, and construction specifications.
• Set clear expectations, coach crew members, and maintain strong site communication.

 

What we’re looking for:

• Proven Foreperson experience in water and sewer infrastructure construction.
• Strong knowledge of watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, excavation, grading, and site servicing work.
• A safety-first mindset and the ability to lead productive, accountable crews.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and keep projects organized under busy site conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to work across Ottawa-area sites.

Compensation: $95,000 – $110,000 total annual compensation.
