Exchange & Cloud Engineer/Architect

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Exchange & Cloud Architect to manage, secure, and optimize a hybrid messaging environment comprising Exchange Server 2019 on-premises and Microsoft 365 Exchange Online. The role will lead Exchange 2019 to Office 365 migration initiatives and support broader cloud, server, virtualization, security, and backup operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain the hybrid Exchange environment, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises Exchange 2019 and Exchange Online
• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of Exchange 2019 to Microsoft 365 migration projects
• Manage identity and directory services, including Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD Connect, and Active Directory
• Oversee Windows Server, Linux Server, and Hyper-V virtualization environments
• Implement and maintain email security, SSL/TLS, WAF, and backup/disaster recovery protocols
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accurate technical documentation
• Support broader cloud initiatives across Microsoft Azure, with working knowledge of AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align infrastructure decisions with business and security requirements
  

Required Technical Skills:

Messaging & Microsoft 365

• Exchange Server 2019, Exchange Online, Hybrid Exchange, Microsoft 365 Administration

Identity & Directory

• Microsoft Entra ID, Azure AD Connect, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP

Cloud Platforms

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure; awareness of AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Servers & Virtualization

• Windows Server, Linux Server Administration, Hyper-V

Security & Continuity

• WAF, email security, SSL/TLS, backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning

Migration & Operations

• Cloud migration planning, mailbox migration, troubleshooting, monitoring, documentation
  

Required Experience:

• 5–7 years of experience in Microsoft messaging, infrastructure, and cloud technologies
• Hands-on experience with Exchange Server 2019 administration and Exchange Hybrid deployments
• Proven experience leading Exchange 2019 to Microsoft 365 / Office 365 migration projects
  

Preferred Certifications:

Microsoft 365 & Exchange

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102)
• Exchange Online Administrator or equivalent messaging certification

Microsoft Azure

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

Windows / Hybrid Infrastructure

• Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800/AZ-801)
• Hyper-V Administration certification (preferred)

Cloud Platforms

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant Microsoft, cloud, infrastructure, and security certifications will be considered an added advantage
